Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on customer equipment and systems according to established service procedures, maintenance schedules, and technical standards.
Install, configure, test, and commission equipment at customer sites while ensuring compliance with safety requirements, specifications, and operational guidelines.
Conduct regular equipment inspections, functional checks, and safety assessments to identify potential issues and prevent system failures.
Respond promptly to service requests, breakdowns, and emergency situations to minimize equipment downtime and restore operations efficiently.
Diagnose equipment faults, analyze technical issues, and implement effective troubleshooting solutions to ensure reliable system performance.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and service documentation to support repair, maintenance, and installation activities.
Provide technical recommendations and guidance to customers on equipment operation, maintenance practices, and system improvements.
Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including maintenance reports, troubleshooting findings, repair details, and technical observations.
Prepare service documentation and reports for customer records and internal performance tracking.
Communicate professionally with customers to explain technical issues, proposed solutions, and operational recommendations.
Build strong customer relationships through responsive support and effective service delivery.
Manage spare parts inventory, service tools, and equipment to ensure readiness for field operations.
Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and availability of required tools and resources.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service processes, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and service technologies for tracking maintenance activities where applicable.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, or similar field-based technical role, preferably within life sciences, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related industries.
Strong technical knowledge of equipment installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical/mechanical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and service management tools is an advantage.
Experience with cryogenic systems is highly preferred.
Possess reliable transportation and a valid driving license, with flexibility to travel extensively to customer sites.
