Senior Engineer (OCTG/ API 5CT/ Tuas/ AWS + VB) - #1165913

Provide technical advice and support in serval stages of an order, including business development, tender evaluation, contract review, and manufacturing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reporting line: Regional Manager, Engineering & Continuous Improvement

• Provide technical advice on premium connections to Sales Department and customers.

• Support Customer Support Department in technical evaluation of tenders and RFQs, including proposing suitable products and assessing internal manufacturing capabilities.

• Evaluate technical aspects of a contract.

• Provide technical advice to manufacturing facilities to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with specifications.

• Prepare engineering drawings and technical reports.

• Maintain a database of engineering information, including drawings, test reports, etc.

• Lead and/or participate in CI projects.

• Provide on-site technical support to customers and licensed manufacturers.

• Actively participate in appropriate development of HSE matters in areas of hazard identifications, risk assessments and determination of controls.

• Ensure work activities and behavior achieve conformity to the HSE policy, objectives and procedures outlined in the HSE management system and compliance to applicable local legal requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field required.

• 2-3 years of work experience in oil and gas industry (upstream).

• Solid mechanical engineering knowledge, especially on stress analysis, steel material properties.

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

• Intermediate skills on CAD software, e.g. SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor etc.

• Understand API specifications, especially 5CT, 5B, 5CRA, 5C3 and 5C5 will be an advantage.

• Project management experience, facilitation and training experience.
