About the role

Minimize equipment downtime and ensure production meets target output and yield. Execute effective preventive maintenance and production line support. Provide first level troubleshooting and resolve production stoppages due to equipment issues. Document and report all line stoppages due to equipment or technical issue. Perform process control checks where applicable. Provide technical support to production operation in meeting output and quality. Participate in line set-up activities. Ensure workstations are in excellent 5S housekeeping condition. Work with engineers and production in continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Minimize equipment downtime and ensure production meets target output and yield

• Execute effective preventive maintenance and production line support

• Provide first level troubleshooting and resolve production stoppages due to equipment issues

• Document and report all line stoppages due to equipment or technical issue

• Perform process control checks where applicable

• Provide technical support to production operation in meeting output and quality

About you

• At least 3 years of work experience in an automated line environment

• ITC or Diploma in Mechatronic/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering – minimum requirement

• Experience in servo motors and intelligent PC's is an added advantage

• Ability to distinguish between coloured wires, signals, indicators, or labels, which is required and critical for safe performance of duties
