Role Overview
The SEM Specialist is responsible for driving website traffic, online visibility, lead generation, and digital campaign performance through effective search engine marketing (SEM) strategies.
This role plays a key part in helping the company grow its digital presence, connect with the right audience, and generate meaningful business results through data-driven and creative marketing approaches. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital marketing, highly analytical, performance-driven, and constantly motivated to explore new strategies, trends, and opportunities within the ever-evolving digital landscape.
The individual should possess a strong curiosity for consumer behaviour, search trends, and campaign performance, while continuously striving to improve user engagement, marketing effectiveness, and conversion outcomes across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and optimise SEM campaigns across Google Ads and other paid advertising platforms to drive qualified leads and maximise ROI.
Manage campaign budgets, bidding strategies, audience targeting, keyword planning, and ad scheduling to achieve business objectives.
Monitor and optimise campaign performance using key metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, CPL, ROAS, conversion rate, and lead quality.
Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, audience research, and market trend analysis to identify campaign opportunities.
Develop, test, and optimise ad copy, creatives, and landing pages through continuous A/B testing to improve conversion performance.
Work closely with the Creative, Content, and Marketing teams to develop high-performing, conversion-focused campaigns.
Analyse campaign data and prepare regular performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
Support SEO initiatives by conducting keyword research, reviewing landing page optimisation, and ensuring campaigns align with organic search strategies.
Monitor industry trends, platform updates, AI-powered marketing tools, and Google Ads best practices to improve campaign effectiveness.
Identify opportunities to improve lead generation, customer acquisition, and overall digital marketing performance through data-driven optimisation.
Requirements
Proven experience in SEM, Google Ads, paid search advertising, and digital performance marketing.
Google Ads Certification or equivalent paid advertising certifications will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of Google Ads, Performance Max, Search, Display, YouTube, and Remarketing campaigns.
Experience with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Ads, Looker Studio, and conversion tracking.
Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals, keyword research, and landing page optimisation.
Familiarity with AI-powered marketing tools and automation platforms to improve campaign efficiency and performance.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make optimisation decisions.
Excellent problem-solving, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Performance-driven, detail-oriented, and results-focused.
Experience in lead generation, education, training, or consumer marketing will be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress or similar website management systems is preferred.
