Job Summary

We are looking for a Process Design Engineer to support the detailed engineering design of industrial process systems. The successful candidate will be involved in process calculations, engineering documentation, equipment sizing, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project scope, specifications, and technical requirements.

• Prepare and review process engineering documents and calculations.

• Develop process simulations using HYSYS or equivalent software.

• Prepare Heat & Material Balances (HMB), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).

• Prepare equipment and instrument process datasheets.

• Perform equipment, pipeline, and pressure safety valve (PSV) sizing calculations.

• Prepare process specifications, equipment lists, and line lists.

• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams throughout project execution.

• Review vendor and subcontractor technical submissions for compliance with project requirements.

• Support the preparation of operating philosophies, startup procedures, and operation manuals.

• Identify scope changes and communicate them to the Lead Engineer.

• Participate in technical discussions with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in process design engineering within an engineering consultancy or industrial environment.

• Proficient in process simulation software such as HYSYS or equivalent.

• Experience preparing PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, and engineering calculations.

• Familiar with international engineering standards, codes, and industry practices.

• Experience in Heat Recovery Systems (WHRUs, HRSG, CCPP) or the Power Industry is an advantage.
