About the role

We are seeking a talented BIM Modeller specialising in Electrical systems to join our growing team.This is a full-time position based in the North Region, offering a competitive salary of $4,500 per month. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing detailed Building Information Models (BIM) with a focus on electrical construction components. Your work will be critical to ensuring efficient project delivery, coordination across disciplines, and adherence to project specifications and timelines. This position sits at the intersection of engineering precision and project management, making it essential to the successful execution of our construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update BIM models and shop drawings for electrical works.

• Create electrical layouts for lighting, power, cable routing, and containment systems.

• Prepare drawings for electrical rooms, M&E rooms, risers, and LAN systems.

• Check and resolve clashes with other building services.

• Update drawings based on site changes and project requirements.

• Coordinate with engineers, clients, consultants, and other project teams.

• Attend site meetings when required.

• Prepare material quantity take-offs (BOQ) when needed.

• Ensure all drawings are accurate and meet project standards.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Supervisor.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.

• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.

• Knowledge of electrical systems, including lighting, power, and cable containment layouts.

• Experience in creating and modifying 2D and 3D BIM models for electrical works.

• Familiar with BIM modelling standards and project coordination.

• Able to configure and maintain electrical BIM model files.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team.

• Prior experience in electrical BIM modelling is an advantage.
