Event Sales Manager - #1168851

About the role

Build new client base through networking, referrals, tenders, online research, social media and industry partnerships. Identify and develop new business opportunities across corporate accounts, government agencies, institutions, venues and event partners. Research market trends, competitors and customer needs to develop new catering packages, sales channels and business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, plan and participate in relevant F&B trade shows, exhibitions and networking events to generate leads, build partnerships and secure additional revenue streams

• Develop business development plans and provide regular sales updates, pipeline reports and revenue forecasts to management

• Achieve assigned sales, revenue, account-growth and business development targets

• Build strategic partnerships with event planners, venues, suppliers and industry contacts to generate referrals and recurring business

• Meet clients at site visits, tender briefings, and pre-event meetings to understand their event requirements, budgets, guest profiles and service expectations

• Prepare clear and accurate quotations, proposals and tender submissions, and follow up actively to close sales and confirm bookings

• Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business, referrals and account growth

• Serve as the main contact for clients before, during and after each event, including collecting feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction

• Handle client requests, changes and complaints calmly, promptly and professionally

• Attend and execute major or high-profile events to ensure operations run smoothly

About you

• Experience in a similar F&B environment (catering or food production) is an advantage

• Quick-thinking with strong problem-solving skills

• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapts quickly to changes

• Hardworking, team-oriented, yet capable of working independently

• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays where required

• Possess Class 3 driving license is an advantage
