System Engineer (Linux and Middleware Administration) - #1168737

Brief Summary:
Join a dynamic team where you will provide essential technical support and enhance system operations through effective management of various IT infrastructure components. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams while leading infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and IBM AIX, Solaris.

• Deploy, configure, and maintain middleware infrastructure, encompassing IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, and Red Hat JBoss A-MQ.

• Install, configure, and manage database servers, including IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

• Install, configure, and maintain LDAP servers, such as IBM Security Directory Server and Apache LDAP.

• Manage container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters.

• Troubleshoot technical issues, apply patches, and perform upgrades on systems, both operating systems and middleware.

• Support bid activities by producing infrastructure sizing, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and leading technical discussions related to infrastructure planning and deployment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant IT experience, with a focus on operating system and middleware administration.

• Strong understanding of application architecture, including authentication, web servers, database servers, application servers, and messaging servers.

• Proficiency in Unix Shell scripting.

• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Willingness to explore legacy systems while embracing new cloud platform services.

• Hold any cloud-related certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or Red Hat) as an advantage.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
