Our client is a well-established multinational company within the advanced manufacturing industry. They are now recruiting a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support new product development and supply chain transformation initiatives. They are located in the North – easily accessible.
Responsibilities:
Develop sourcing and supply chain strategies to support new product development and product commercialization.
Coordinate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure timely prototype development, material readiness, and production support.
Work closely with engineering, operations, procurement, quality, and product teams to align project execution and sourcing activities.
Evaluate supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure project continuity and material availability.
Support product development by driving manufacturability reviews and production readiness throughout the development cycle.
Lead sourcing activities during product introduction, including implementation planning, supplier onboarding, and transition into production.
Resolve supply chain and production-related issues with external manufacturing partners while managing engineering change implementation.
Partner with procurement teams on supplier selection, commercial alignment, delivery performance, and cost optimization.
Monitor supplier quality performance and ensure compliance with established production and inspection requirements.
Track project milestones, operational metrics, and sourcing performance, providing regular progress updates to management.
Establish project governance frameworks, standardize project execution processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations.
Coordinate cross-functional project resources and support execution of multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
Requirements:
Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline with PMP certification.
At least 8 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, operations, or related functions.
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in NPD, R&D, or product development.
Proficient in project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
Experience in contract manufacturing, supplier management, NPI, and overseas project coordination is an advantage.
