Allowance: Transport Allowance of $250 per month

Job Description:

1. Responsible for the creation, decoration, and presentation of desserts such as cakes and pastries in accordance with Violet Oon Singapore’s standards.

2. Decorate pastries using various icings, toppings, and techniques to ensure attractive and appealing presentation.

3. Monitor stock levels for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, and other supplies, and place orders within the approved budget.

4. Check the quality of ingredients and ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition.

5. Guide, train, and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work efficiently and maintain consistency.

6. Maintain a clean, organised workstation and strictly adhere to hygiene, health, and safety standards.

7. Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations and activities of kitchen staff within the pastry section.

8. Report all operational matters to the Pastry Chef.

9. Be physically involved in all phases of daily pastry operations.

10. Demonstrate new cooking techniques and the proper use of equipment to team members.

11. Update menu recipe cards and assist with menu planning for promotions and special events.

12. Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained at all times within the assigned station.

13. Adhere to all rules, policies, and regulations set by Management.

Basic Functions:

a. Check daily cake and pastry order lists.
b. Ensure kitchen hygiene and sanitation standards are consistently met.
c. Communicate effectively with the Pastry Chef on operational matters.
d. Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation before service.
