Our client is a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider. Due to business expansion, they are now recruiting a Deputy General Manager (Air Freight Manager + Operation Excellent) to support business operations and commercial growth. They are located in the East – easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in overseeing business operations and strategic initiatives.

• Develop and execute commercial plans to achieve revenue and business growth targets.

• Manage pricing strategies, tender submissions, and major customer proposals.

• Build and maintain key customer relationships while handling commercial escalations.

• Monitor market trends and recommend business strategies to maintain competitiveness.

• Oversee freight forwarding, warehousing, customs clearance, and end-to-end logistics operations.

• Negotiate commercial agreements with carriers, logistics partners, and service providers.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, trade requirements, and operational standards.

• Drive process improvements, digital initiatives, and operational efficiency across business functions.

• Monitor departmental performance, budgets, operating costs, and overall business profitability.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth execution of commercial and operational activities.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 15 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.

• At least 5 years of management experience leading business operations or commercial teams.

• Proven experience managing sales teams and driving business development performance.

• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, warehousing, customs brokerage, and transportation operations.

• Experience handling commercial negotiations, contract management, and tender submissions.

• Familiar with freight management systems and digital logistics platforms.
