Senior Cost Accountant - Semiconductor Equipment Industry - #1167511

About the Role

We are hiring a detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to support the full costing lifecycle within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost estimation, analysis, and optimisation for complex engineered equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end cost analysis for equipment, including materials, machining, fabrication, assembly, and overhead allocation
• Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing structures
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for RFQs, tenders, and new product introductions (NPI)
• Conduct cost breakdown analysis for mechanical and electro-mechanical components
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to validate costing assumptions
• Perform variance analysis between estimated and actual costs, identifying root causes
• Support pricing strategy, margin analysis, and profitability improvement initiatives
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimisation
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of costing data within ERP systems (SAP / Oracle)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
• 7-10 years of experience in costing within equipment or machinery manufacturing (must-have)
• Candidates from high-precision or advanced manufacturing environments such as:
• semiconductor-related equipment
• automation / robotics
• precision engineering
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly)
• Experience in BOM costing, routing, and standard costing methodologies
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle preferred)
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
