Key Responsibilities

• Rebar Works: Read structural drawings and bar bending schedules. Carry out cutting, bending, and fixing of reinforcement bars (rebar) according to project specifications. Secure rebar with tie wire to ensure correct positioning and structural integrity .

• Formwork: Erect and dismantle various types of formwork (timber, metal, or system formwork) for concrete structures. Assist in the pouring, leveling, and finishing of concrete surfaces .

• Brickwork & Masonry: Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units to construct or repair walls and partitions. Prepare and mix mortar to the correct consistency and apply finishes such as plastering or rendering .

• Structural Work: Assist in the installation and assembly of structural steel components. Support workers in activities related to reinforced concrete frameworks and ensure all work aligns with structural drawings and building codes .

• Site Preparation & Material Handling: Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up scaffolding. Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment around the site .

• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations. Always wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite .

• Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team with other tradesmen, foremen, and supervisors to ensure smooth project workflow .

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience in the construction industry, specializing in structural works .

• Proficiency in rebar fixing, formwork erection, and masonry/brickwork.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and building plans is an advantage .

• perform manual labor in a demanding outdoor environment.

• Possess a valid construction safety certificate (e.g., WSQ/CoreTrade).
