About the role
Tong Hai Yang Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated and organised Project Coordinator/Executive to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is based in the Hougang North-East Region and plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects. As a Project Coordinator/Executive, you will be the backbone of our project operations, supporting project managers and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the construction industry.
Key responsibilities
Assist in planning, scheduling and coordinating all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion
Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, progress reports and correspondence
Monitor project progress and track key performance indicators (KPIs) against established timelines and budgets
Coordinate communication between project teams, contractors, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders
Organise and attend project meetings, taking minutes and distributing action items to relevant parties
Support the procurement process by liaising with suppliers and managing purchase orders
Assist in quality control and safety compliance monitoring on site
Update and maintain project databases and filing systems to ensure accurate record-keeping
Identify potential risks and issues early, escalating concerns to the Project Manager promptly
Support the resolution of project issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
2–5 years of experience in construction project coordination or a similar role within the construction industry
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software such as Primavera, MS Project or similar tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is advantageous
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, local building codes)
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
Valid driving licence and willingness to visit construction sites regularly
