The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new revenue and developing long-term relationships with clients, professional intermediaries and strategic partners.
You will manage the full sales process, from identifying and qualifying opportunities to preparing proposals, closing engagements and coordinating the onboarding of new clients.
You will work closely with our Managing Director and our corporate secretarial, accounting and tax teams to provide practical and commercially appropriate solutions to clients.
This is initially an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Managing Director, with the opportunity to take on greater leadership responsibilities as the business development function grows.
Key Responsibilities
Generate new business for One Tax CM’s corporate secretarial, accounting, tax, GST, payroll and related services.
Manage enquiries from prospective clients, understand their business requirements and recommend appropriate service solutions.
Manage the full sales process, including lead qualification, client meetings, proposal preparation, pricing discussions, follow-ups and closing.
Build relationships with entrepreneurs, SMEs, foreign investors and companies establishing or expanding their operations in Singapore.
Develop referral partnerships with lawyers, bankers, financial institutions, fintech companies, immigration consultants, business associations and other professional intermediaries.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, prepare revenue forecasts and keep accurate records of leads, opportunities and client communications in the company’s CRM system.
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecast revenue and update CRM records.
Coordinate with technical teams on KYC, onboarding and client handover.
Identify and close cross-selling opportunities among existing clients.
Provide management with market feedback on competitor activities, pricing trends, client requirements and emerging business opportunities.
Achieve agreed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Requirements
Minimum three years of direct business development or sales experience within Singapore’s corporate services industry.
Candidates from accounting, tax or professional services firms may also be considered where they have personally sold corporate secretarial, accounting, tax or business-compliance services.
Proven track record of meeting sales targets and successfully closing corporate services engagements.
Good working understanding of Singapore company incorporation, corporate secretarial compliance, accounting, taxation and related business services.
Confident in conducting client meetings, preparing proposals, negotiating commercial terms and closing engagements.
Strong consultative and solution selling capabilities.
Commercially minded, self motivated and comfortable working with revenue targets.
Strong communication, presentation and relationship management skills.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and operational teams.
Existing relationships with business owners, professional intermediaries or referral partners will be an advantage.
A relevant diploma or degree is preferred, although strong and directly relevant industry experience will also be considered.
What We Offer
Monthly basic salary of S$5,000–S$6,000, depending on experience and track record.
Transparent and uncapped commission structure.
Guaranteed minimum variable payment of S$1,500 per month during the first three complete months of employment, or actual commission earned, whichever is higher, subject to the company’s commission policy.

Working Arrangements
Full time, permanent position.
Five day work week.
Based in Singapore.
The role will involve client meetings, networking events and occasional activities outside normal office hours.
Time off arrangements may be provided for significant approved weekend or evening events, subject to company policy.
