Group Accountant - #1166216

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain full set of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing in a timely manner

• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and schedules

• Handle GST preparation and submission to IRAS

• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

• Manage inventory accounting, including stock reconciliation, costing, and variance analysis

• Lead stock take exercises and inventory valuation

• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary

• Prepare schedules and documentation for annual audit and tax computation

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements

• Assist in group budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring

• Perform ad‑hoc finance and accounting duties as assigned

• Perform Group consolidation and review of monthly financial reports from subsidiaries

• Supervise and coach junior staff in accounting and finance operations

• Managing group collection of trade and other receivables and cash flow management.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• Professional qualification (ACCA, CA Singapore, CPA or equivalent) is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience

• Auditing and/or supervisory experience is a plus

• Prior experience in wholesale distribution / trading industry preferred

• Experience handling full sets of accounts

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)

• Working knowledge of GST regulations and IRAS compliance

• Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Navision, MYOB, Xero, or equivalent)

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong sense of responsibility and integrity

Other Information (Optional for MCF)

• Position requires coordination with sales, warehouse and operations teams

• Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast‑paced transaction‑heavy environment
