What you'll do:
As Chief Human Resources Officer, you will be entrusted with shaping the entire people strategy for a large-scale organisation undergoing significant transformation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating with executive stakeholders to design forward-thinking HR policies that support both immediate operational needs and long-term strategic ambitions. You will play an instrumental role in building resilient teams by nurturing leadership talent at every level while fostering an inclusive culture that values open communication and shared success. By leveraging your expertise in change management and stakeholder engagement, you will help guide the organisation through complex transitions-ensuring stability during times of uncertainty while continuously improving employee experience. Your ability to balance commercial acumen with empathetic leadership will be essential as you oversee everything from workforce planning to governance structures. Ultimately, your work will empower employees to thrive within a supportive environment where their contributions are recognised as vital to the company's ongoing success.
- Develop and implement comprehensive people and culture strategies that align with overall business transformation objectives and support long-term organisational goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board on all workforce, organisational development, and leadership matters, providing insights that drive effective decision-making.
- Lead enterprise-wide workforce planning initiatives designed to build organisational capability and ensure scalability for future growth.
- Drive HR transformation projects aimed at improving operational effectiveness, enhancing employee experience, and modernising HR systems and frameworks.
- Champion organisational transformation efforts including culture change programmes, organisational redesigns, and workforce modernisation activities.
- Support leaders through periods of ambiguity by partnering closely with senior teams to drive change management initiatives that foster alignment across all levels of the organisation.
- Build strong leadership succession pipelines by overseeing talent acquisition, learning & development, performance management, and talent management strategies.
- Partner with business leaders on critical talent decisions such as succession planning while also driving employer branding and employee value proposition initiatives.
- Lead employee engagement programmes focused on retention in high-attrition environments while strengthening communication channels and trust across diverse employee groups.
- Oversee all aspects of HR operations including compensation & benefits, HR business partnering, policy review, analytics reporting, compliance with employment legislation, and regular presentations to the Board.
What you bring:
To excel as Chief Human Resources Officer in this transformative environment, you will bring extensive experience navigating complex organisations where operational intensity is matched only by the pace of change. Your background should reflect deep knowledge of both strategic human resources planning and hands-on delivery-enabling you to bridge gaps between vision and execution seamlessly. You are adept at building consensus among diverse stakeholders while remaining sensitive to cultural nuances that influence employee engagement. Your proven ability to manage large-scale transformations will be complemented by your skill in developing robust governance frameworks that ensure compliance without stifling innovation. A natural collaborator who thrives on supporting others' growth journeys, you understand how to nurture talent pipelines that secure future leadership strength. Your interpersonal skills allow you to communicate effectively at every level-whether presenting complex data-driven insights to the Board or guiding managers through challenging conversations. Above all else, your commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued sets you apart as a trusted partner in organisational success.
- Degree-qualified in Human Resources, Business or related discipline; postgraduate qualifications would be considered advantageous for this position.
- At least 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience within large-scale organisations operating in complex or operationally intensive sectors is required for success in this role.

- Extensive experience engaging directly with Boards, CEOs, and executive leadership teams on strategic workforce matters is essential for this position.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with an ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution is highly valued by the organisation.
- Demonstrated expertise managing high-volume workforces across diverse populations while maintaining high standards of compliance with local employment legislation is necessary for this role.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills including influencing abilities across all levels-from frontline staff to senior executives-are crucial for success as CHRO.
