Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirement Governance
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze business processes and identify transformation opportunities across the energy trading value chain.
Lead end-to-end requirement management, including:
Define, document, and maintain Business and Functional Requirements (BRD/FRD).
Establish requirement traceability and version control.
Drive requirement prioritization aligned with business value and project objectives.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops, alignment sessions, and decision-making discussions.
Act as the key interface between business, IT, and vendors, ensuring clarity and alignment of requirements and deliverables.
Establish and enforce requirements governance, including change control and formal sign-off processes.
Solution Design & Value Delivery
Work closely with stakeholders to drive a consultative approach in business process rationalization and digital solutioning.
Lead functional solution design, ensuring alignment between business needs and system capabilities.
Evaluate and challenge vendor proposals if required, including:
Conduct option analysis (e.g., alternative solutions, process vs system changes).
Perform cost-benefit and feasibility assessments.
Perform gap analysis between current and target state and define actionable transformation roadmaps.
Ensure proposed solutions deliver measurable business value and operational improvements.
Project Delivery & Ownership
Support and/or lead DX initiatives with accountability across the project lifecycle:
Requirement definition → design → build → testing → deployment.
Ensure alignment between scope, requirements, and delivered outputs.
Monitor project progress, identify risks/issues, and drive resolution acros stakeholders and vendors.
Ensure adherence to internal governance, controls, and documentation standards.
Risk, Impact & Compliance Management
Perform structured impact assessments for system and process changes across departments and systems.
Identify, analyze, and document risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts.
Define and track mitigation plans, ensuring proper escalation where required.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory considerations.
Testing Strategy & Quality Assurance (UAT)
Lead and manage end-to-end UAT processes:
Define test strategy, coverage, and entry/exit criteria.
Ensure traceability between requirements and test scenarios.
Coordinate testing activities across stakeholders and vendors.
Validate system outputs against business requirements and expected outcomes.
Track defects, prioritize resolution, and ensure quality of deliverables before production release.
Data Analysis & Insight Generation
Analyze operational and system data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Support business reporting, data validation, and decision-making processes.
Drive data-driven insights to enhance business performance and system utilization.
Vendor Management & Delivery Assurance
Actively manage vendor deliverables to ensure alignment with agreed requirements, scope, and timelines.
Challenge and validate vendor outputs, ensuring quality and completeness.
Drive vendor accountability and performance, including issue tracking and resolution.
ETRM System Support & Continuous Improvement
Provide functional expertise in ETRM system operations, enhancements, and upgrades.
Support users through issue analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution (as needed).
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and system optimization.
Balance operational support with strategic transformation priorities.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
Maintain structured and up-to-date documentation for system configurations, processes, and project deliverables.
Establish standards for documentation quality, storage, and reusability.
Ensure knowledge transfer across team members and stakeholders.
General
Any other duties as assigned by General Manager / Senior Manager.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in Business Analysis, preferably within trading, commodities, or ETRM environments.
Proficient in MS Office applications such as Co-Pilot, Power Apps. Power Automate etc.
Strong experience in:
Requirement management (BRD/FRD, traceability, lifecycle management)
Business process analysis and process modelling
Stakeholder and vendor management
Proven ability to translate business needs into functional solutions and drive delivery outcomes.
Experience in evaluating solutions, including option analysis and cost-benefit considerations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Experience in data analysis and reporting is an advantage.
Familiarity with ETRM systems is highly preferred.
Technical knowledge (SQL, .NET, JIRA or similar tools) is an advantage.
Independent, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
