Our client, a well-known company is looking for candidates for the position of Regional Assistant Manager, Legal Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive legal guidance to regional affiliates based on specific needs and objectives.

• Draft and review contracts, legal documents, and correspondence.

• Identify and assess potential legal and contractual risks in projects and transactions; propose strategies to mitigate these risks.

• Support contract negotiations and transactions as required.

• Communicate legal advice to internal stakeholders effectively.

• Monitor and address potential legal issues as they arise.

• Recommend legal strategies and actions in disputes, as well as support legal proceedings when applicable.

• Assist in developing and implementing internal contract review and risk management processes.

• Plan and execute legal projects, including internal training for affiliates, standardizing templates, and updating internal policies.

• Conduct legal research and stay informed on developments in international laws and regulations, particularly in the ASEAN jurisdictions.

• Collaborate with various departments and external parties as necessary.

• Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• A recognized Degree in Law.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in international corporate legal affairs, with a preference for those from the construction sector.

• Strong understanding and practical knowledge of construction law and contracts.

• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledgeable about information security.

• High attention to detail, strong initiative, and a sense of responsibility.

• Familiarity with business operations and legal jurisdictions in Southeast Asia is an advantage.
