About the role
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in the West Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful day-to-day execution of construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing site operations, managing workforce performance, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. This role is instrumental in bridging communication between senior management and site teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
What you'll be doing
Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of construction workers and tradespeople on site
Monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and contractual obligations
Conducting safety inspections and enforcing health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
Liaising between site teams, project managers, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication
Inspecting workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
Managing site resources, including equipment, materials, and personnel allocation
Maintaining accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets, and incident documentation
Identifying and resolving site-related issues and challenges promptly
Providing guidance and support to junior staff and assisting with their professional development
Ensuring site cleanliness and organisation, and managing waste disposal in accordance with regulations
What we're looking for
Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction site supervision or a similar supervisory role
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural plans, drawings, and technical specifications
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Relevant certifications in health and safety are highly desirable
Excellent communication skills.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
