Project Engineer (Trains / Rail) (ID: 702659) PNHP - #1164811

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for drawing, material, document submission reviews and inputs.
2. Coordinate with Authority, Contractors, and internal stakeholders on engineering, maintenance and operational issues required in preparation, implementation, decommissioning and disposal of project articles.
3. Work with Contractor for site deployment and work activities schedule.
4. Facilitate in internal applications for approval of the works. (i.e. Ops Circulars, Contingency Plans, MSRA, PTW, Permit to Access, other required railway operating procedures and etc.)
5. To coordinate and apply track access for any buffer area/tunnel/track works.
6. Ensure facilitation of all site & track access matters for contractors to work – e.g., apply PTW, Hot Works Permit, liaise with Station Ops and other stakeholders on-site.
7. Attend and witness Testing & Commissioning activities conducted on-site.
8. Attend and support meetings – i.e. technical, progress and other scheduled/ ad-hoc meetings with Authority, internal stakeholders and Contractors.
9. Manage and supervise all Assistant Engineer & Technical Officer (AETO) workfare, development and deployment in all work-fronts, including track access deployment.
10. Monitor Contractor’s compliance to safety requirements – i.e safe work procedure, MSRA, PTW.
11. Monitors daily works and project progress according to bi-weekly plan/ arrangements with reference to the baseline program and highlight any deviations to LTA.
12. Review of daily and monthly project progress report submitted by contractor.
13. Participate in claim review assessment.
14. Coordinate and attend handover and takeover, monitor timely closure of all outstanding works/ punch list during the DLP period and track any defects/ issues arising within different DLP phases.

Qualifications and Work Experience Qualifications and work experience include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering
