Project Finance Executive / Manager - #1164693

Location: Singapore, with regional travel when required

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on finance professional to manage the finance, budgeting, cost tracking, and supplier payment coordination for three regional Data Center construction projects.

These projects are large-scale construction projects, with total project values potentially exceeding USD 50 million. The role is suitable for someone who has experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, data center, or project-based industries.

This is a solo operational role, not a large team management role. The person must be able to work independently, keep proper financial records, monitor budgets and costs, coordinate with suppliers and project teams, and ensure payments and reporting are properly managed.

The person may also be required to travel to regional project sites when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project finance matters for up to three Data Center construction projects.

• Maintain proper project accounting records, cost tracking files, payment records, and supporting documents.

• Track project budgets, committed costs, actual spending, cash flow, and cost variations.

• Coordinate supplier, contractor, and vendor payment processes.

• Check invoices, purchase orders, contracts, delivery documents, and payment requests before processing.

• Monitor project expenses and highlight budget overruns, cost risks, or unusual spending.

• Prepare simple monthly project finance reports for management.

• Work closely with project managers, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and internal management.

• Ensure proper documentation for audit, management review, and project cost control.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning for each project.

• Travel to regional project sites when required to support project finance and payment matters.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, project accounting, or cost control.

• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, M&E, data center, or project-based industries will be an advantage.

• Able to manage finance and payment matters independently.

• Good understanding of budgeting, cost tracking, supplier payments, invoices, and project documentation.

• Strong Excel skills.

• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems will be useful.

• Careful, organised, and detail-oriented.

• Able to work with project teams, suppliers, contractors, and management.

• Willing to travel overseas when required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone practical, independent, and hands-on. This person should be comfortable handling day-to-day project finance operations, following up on payment matters, keeping records clean, and helping management understand the financial status of each project.

Construction project finance or cost control experience will be especially useful for this role.
