Civil & Structural Engineer - #1164329

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil and Structural Engineer to support project planning, design, and execution. You’ll assist with engineering design from concept to construction, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will work closely with both in-house and external teams and be involved in both office-based tasks and on-site coordination.

Critical Work Functions & Performance Expectations

Define Project Scope

• Conduct feasibility studies, propose solutions, identify risks.

• Define requirements in line with:
  Resident Engineer Accreditation
  Building Control Act, Fire Safety Act, WSH Act, etc.

Design Development

• Develop concept, schematic, and detailed structural designs.

• Conduct load calculations and coordinate models.

• Support legislative submissions and sustainable design practices.

Tender Process

• Assist with cost estimates, schedules, and tender documents.

• Ensure alignment with project goals and regulatory needs.

Project Execution

• Coordinate with contractors and supervise on-site works.

• Support testing, commissioning, and prepare as-built documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate civil/structural designs.

• Assist in risk assessments and problem-solving.

• Liaise with teams and stakeholders throughout project life cycle.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• 2–3 years' relevant experience.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.

• Familiar with local codes and submission processes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Willing to travel to site when required.
