Operations Driver - #1164234

Primary responsibilities:

• Delivery and collection of Equipments & samples

• Transporting of SGS staff to work locations

Specific responsibilities:

• Transport Equipments/laboratory samples/goods from site/warehouse/office to various locations, vice versa

• Assist in the collection, handling and transportation of chemical and industrial samples in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.

• Ensure samples are properly labelled, handled, stored and transported to maintain sample integrity and chain of custody

• Ensure the safe and timely delivery of samples/equipment

• Check the condition of the goods before and after delivery

• Preparation of samples or equipment for delivery

• Transport SGS staffs to various location around Singapore

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, date, and destination

• Follow all safety regulations and traffic laws

• Report any accidents or incidents immediately

• Communicate with dispatchers to ensure efficient delivery routes

• Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly report any defects or maintenance requirements to ensure the vehicle remains safe and roadworthy

• Attend mandatory safety training and obtain the necessary certifications and site access passes required for operational duties (e.g. Jurong Island and customer site safety requirements)

• Comply with company and customer Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Any other duties assigned by superior

Requirements:

• Mn ‘N’ levels or equivalent

• Valid Singapore Class 3 driving license

• Good driving record with no accidents or incidents

• At least 1-2 years of experience as a logistic driver

• Excellent communication skills

• Good physical condition and able to lift heavy packages

• Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

• Able to interact with all levels of management

• Fluent English and local language

• Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity

• Able to work safely in industrial plants, construction sites and customer premises.
