Job Description
Truwater Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accounts Manager to support the Finance Department in managing the company's financial operations, reporting, and compliance requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with management to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Assist in overseeing the full spectrum of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting activities.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Review supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and staff claims.
Monitor customer collections and follow up on outstanding receivables.
Prepare payment schedules and bank transactions.
Audit & Compliance
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and government authorities.
Prepare schedules and supporting documents for annual statutory audits.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting & Analysis
Assist management in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.
Administrative & Operational Support
Support procurement, contract administration, and project costing activities where required.
Maintain proper filing systems and financial documentation.
Perform other finance and administrative duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Experience in handling full sets of accounts and financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
