About the role

Parksonwoods Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Storeman (Furniture Industry) to join our warehouse team in the Sungei Kadut North Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and organisation of our storage and distribution operations. As a Storeman, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage, and dispatch of furniture products, ensuring that inventory is managed accurately and safely. This role is essential to our logistics operation, supporting the smooth flow of products from warehouse to customer and maintaining the high standards our business is known for.

Key responsibilities

1. Receiving, checking and recording incoming furniture stock, ensuring all items are documented accurately and stored appropriately

2. Organising and arranging furniture products in the warehouse using efficient storage methods to maximise space and accessibility

3. Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stock counts to ensure records match physical inventory

4. Picking and packing furniture orders for dispatch, ensuring items are properly protected and labelled correctly

5. Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely, using appropriate handling equipment and techniques

6. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

7. Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, where applicable and with appropriate certification

8. Assisting with inventory management systems and updating records as stock moves in and out of the warehouse

9. Identifying and reporting damaged or defective furniture items, and assisting with their documentation and removal from stock

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working as a Storeman or in a similar warehouse role within the furniture industry or related sectors

2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records

3. Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry and handle heavy furniture items regularly

4. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is highly desirable

5. Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures

6. Excellent attention to detail to ensure stock accuracy and order accuracy

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment

8. Strong health and safety awareness with commitment to maintaining workplace safety standards

9. Reliable, punctual and committed to consistent attendance

10. Communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly
