Job Summary
You will lead project coordination and supervision efforts to ensure timely delivery and budget compliance of electrical engineering projects. Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards and technical specifications, driving successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end execution of LV switchboard projects, from order handover to delivery, testing, and handover
Review project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to ensure compliance with Singapore standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. EMA, SS standards such as SS 638, IEC 61439)
Coordinate closely with design, production, procurement, and QA/QC teams to ensure timely and compliant project delivery
Prepare and review engineering deliverables including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, wiring schematics, and technical submissions
Ensure all switchboards are designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with IEC 61439 type-tested assemblies and local authority requirements
Liaise with clients, consultants, Licensed Electrical Workers (LEW), and main contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment with project specifications
Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and site inspections, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
Monitor project progress including schedule, cost, and quality; highlight risks and implement mitigation measures
Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations (e.g. WSH requirements) during project execution
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including method statements, inspection test plans (ITP), O&M manuals, and as-built drawings
Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Familiarity with Singapore standards and regulations will be advantageous, including:
SS 638 (maintenance of electrical equipment)
IEC 61439 (LV switchboard design and verification)
EMA regulatory requirements and submission processes
Experience working with Licensed Electrical Workers (LEW) and understanding of local authority approvals is an advantage
Strong understanding of LV distribution systems, protection schemes, and switchboard components (ACB, MCCB, busbar systems, etc.)
Good project coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities
Able to work independently and in a fast-paced project environment
