As an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical manufacturing facilities while contributing to continuous improvement and plant optimisation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Plan, coordinate, and execute major maintenance activities with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Collaborate closely with production, engineering, contractors, and external stakeholders to minimise downtime and ensure timely completion of maintenance works.
Conduct instrumentation studies, troubleshoot complex plant issues, and implement system modifications based on operational and business requirements.
Support plant improvement projects involving instrumentation, automation, and process control systems.
Provide technical guidance and competency development for technicians and contractors through structured training and coaching.
Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and SS651 standards.
Participate in emergency response activities and provide timely technical support for critical instrumentation issues.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related disciplines.
Minimum 3 years of maintenance or engineering experience within the petrochemical, chemical, refinery, power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
Hands-on experience maintaining plant instrumentation and process control equipment.
Exposure to Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Process Gas Chromatographs (PGC), or other industrial automation systems will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with SAP PM and Microsoft Office applications is advantageous.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
