Full-time position; 24/7 operation; 3 shifts; overtime, weekend, and holiday work required. Shifts may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or mid-shift. Flexibility is essential.

We are seeking SCADA/SAC/BPI Operator to join our dynamic team at Vanderlande Industries Singapore Pte. Ltd., a leading global provider of automated material handling systems. This is a full-time position based in the Changi Airport Terminal 1

As a SCADA/SAC/BPI Operator, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, controlling, and optimising our sophisticated automated systems that are integral to airport operations. This position is essential to ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of critical baggage handling and logistics infrastructure. Your expertise in system supervision and control will directly impact operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

1. Monitor SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems in real-time to ensure optimal performance of automated material handling equipment

2. Operate and manage SAC (System Access Control) systems and maintain security protocols across all connected systems

3. Control and supervise BPI (Baggage Provision Interface) operations to ensure seamless baggage flow and processing

4. Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve operational issues promptly

5. Maintain detailed logs and records of system performance, incidents and maintenance activities

6. Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and system optimisations

7. Respond to system alerts and alarms, taking appropriate corrective actions

8. Conduct routine system checks and calibration to ensure accuracy and reliability

9. Provide technical support to operational staff and communicate system status updates

10. Adhere to all safety regulations, standard operating procedures and quality standards

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience operating SCADA systems, particularly in automated baggage handling or material handling environments

2. Technical knowledge of SAC (System Access Control) and BPI (Baggage Provision Interface) systems

3. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles relevant to automated systems

4. Ability to interpret system schematics, control diagrams and technical documentation

5. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnostics

6. Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records

7. Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a control room environment

8. Certification or qualification in SCADA systems operation or industrial automation (preferred)

9. Experience in an airport or logistics environment (highly desirable)

10. Familiarity with alarm management systems and incident response protocols

11. Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to on-call requirements as needed
