About the role
This role is pivotal to our manufacturing operations, where you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting and testing products to the highest quality standards. As an Assembly Technician, you will be at the heart of our production process, ensuring that every component is precisely assembled and meets our rigorous specifications. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will directly contribute to the quality of our products and the success of our manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities
Assemble components and products according to technical drawings, specifications and standard operating procedures
Perform quality inspections on assembled products to ensure they meet required standards and specifications
Test assembled units to verify functionality and identify any defects or issues
Operate and maintain assembly equipment and tools safely and effectively
Identify and report any production issues or deviations to supervisors or quality control teams
Maintain accurate records of production activities, inspections and test results
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements
Follow all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines
What we're looking for
Proven experience in assembly or manufacturing environments, ideally in a similar production setting
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all aspects of work
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and work instructions accurately
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and basic assembly equipment
Experience with quality inspection techniques and testing procedures
Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precision assembly work
Strong organisational and time management abilities to meet production schedules
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and willingness to follow instructions and procedures
Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
Commitment to health and safety standards and best practices
Relevant certifications or training in assembly, quality control or manufacturing processes (preferred)
