About the role
The mission is structured around four mains activities but is not limited to, SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINES rely on this position to build a robust bridge between Asian repair suppliers and SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINES entities around the world.
Key responsibilities
Technical Support for Repair Industrialization conducted by Safran Repair Suppliers
- Manage the industrialization plan (define the annual workload plan, monitor progress, and update the oSmoz tool and industrialization monitoring KPIs).
- Follow-up of Co-Dev actions (GPREP - multidisciplinary repair group in charge of repair development: Design Office, Repair Engineer, Shop)
- Support industrialization of new repairs and the implementation of new criteria
- Identify blocking points of industrialization projects and monitor the associated action plans (adequacy of load-capacity, availability and capability of the means of production for feasibility and industrialization tests, capability of means in relation to the technical specifications of repairs)
- Detect shops difficulties regarding understanding and application of new repairs & criteria
Technical Support of repair flow
- Prepare and organize with shops Full Condition Mapping (FCM) to feed new criteria and repair development plans
- Organized technical reviews with Repair Stations
- Alerting technical difficulties likely to impact already industrialized products
- Monitor Repair Station KPIs (collect or establish and share yields/part rejection rates, occurrence of repair applications on Safran Aircraft Engines orders) define and drive salvation solutions
- Express needs for criteria extensions and repair developments
- Provide ad hoc support for workshop technical questions addressed to the OEM.
- Support the implementation of the cost reduction approach within the shops
- Identify needs for shops to improve their repair schemes or processes
- Drive local actions for quality escape resolution
- Report Key Performance Indicators to LRE Management (yields/part rejection rates, occurrence of repair applications on Safran Aircraft Engines orders)
Technical Support to Safran Aircraft Engines Internal Supplier Relationship Stakeholders
- Provide answers and visibility to internal solicitation (Cost Tracker Team “MCRB”, Assurance Quality, Buyers, Supplier Performance Managers, MRO Procurement Leaders, Customer & Product Support Engineering)
- Participating in First Article Inspection and support SDR resolution (Supplier Discrepancy Reports)
- Provide technical assistance to SSC (Supplier Selection Committees) and CVF (Commission de Validation Fournisseur)
- Participating in ARF Meeting (Internal meeting connecting all parties working with supplier)
Contribute to Continuous Improvement Within the Team
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Knowledge Management, Activities best practices, etc.).
Required skills:
- Knowledge of MRO operation in Part 145 and technical knowledge of engines and parts
- Ability to understand industrial issues, including repair and maintenance
- Experience in airworthiness rules and requirements
- Overall understanding of logistical scheme and responsibility
- Ability to implement actions locally within companies outside the Safran group
- Ability to skillfully share the voice of the Safran Aircraft Engines customers within Asia partners
- Efficiency in reporting and communication
- Ability to work in transverse operations with many Safran Aircraft Engines departments without affecting the coherence of the overall message and in close coordination with the various interlocutors of Safran Aircraft Engines
- Sense partnership with General Electric (Historical SAFRAN Partners)
Profile of the candidate:
- Strong ability in transverse operation / negotiation

- Knowledge of operations and industrial means of repair shops
- Knowledge of CFM56 & GE90 Products highly appreciated
- Ability with repair technical procedures & inspections
Educational Qualifications:
- Main sectors: Engineering, Industrialization, Repair Stations
- Study level: Master Degree (Bac +5)
- Experience level: + 3 years in Aircraft Engines MRO/Repair Industry
