A leader which is a major Supplier to Semiconductor industry is seeking for a Quality Engineering Director to handle the Asia region. You will be a high-impact leader, in-charge of shaping quality excellence in the Asia region.
Create, implement and drive regional quality strategies alignment with global corporate objectives to attain zero-defect, high-reliability standards; apply strategy to ensure achievement of measurable outcomes.
Predict customer requirements and translate Customer requirement into measurable quality plans and serve as the key quality liaison for strategic Asia customers. Lead escalations for quality excursions and reliability failures, and robust corrective actions via six sigma, 8D, RCA, and cross-functional containment/prevention plans.
Perform risk assessment via statistical methods to accelerate containment, root cause confirmation, and permanent corrective/preventive actions.
Set clear ownership across sites and functions, deliver on commitments, and ensure disciplined execution against KPIs.
Lead quality assurance processes for regional plants which includes qualification, ,change management, monitoring of performance, audits, corrective action plans , ensure complete CAPA closure and continuously improve the QMS across Asia manufacturing sites.
Improved quality systems and reporting, standardize best-known methods, and improvements across sites.
Perform talent development by hiring, coaching, and nurturing CQE/QE leaders; develop succession plan.
To qualify for the role:
At lease Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science; Master’s degree
10-15 yrs of Quality experience with 10+ years in a senior leadership role.
Semiconductor industry experience is preferred
Good experience in front-end (wafer fabrication) and/or back-end (assembly, packaging, test) processes/ ecosystem of customer qualification and change control expectations is highly preferred.
Leadership skills with ability to lead teams across multiple Asia locations (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, Korea and Japan) and influence outcomes under a matrixed organization
Strong proficiency in application of 8D, RCA, CAPA/SCAR, FMEA, SPC/SQC, DOE, Six Sigma, and trend/statistical analysis to lead robust corrective and preventive action.
