About the role

Dreamakers Interior Pte Ltd is seeking a talented Sales Designer (Interior) to join our team in the East Region on a full-time basis. This role combines the creative aspects of interior design with sales expertise, positioning you at the intersection of aesthetics and business development. As a Sales Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating client visions into compelling interior design solutions whilst driving revenue growth for the company. This position is integral to our client acquisition and retention strategy, requiring you to build relationships, understand client needs, and deliver design proposals that convert prospects into satisfied customers.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct detailed consultations with clients to understand their interior design requirements, preferences, budget constraints and project timelines

2. Develop and present tailored interior design concepts and proposals that align with client expectations and business objectives

3. Create visual presentations, mood boards and design renderings to effectively communicate design ideas to clients

4. Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to contract closure, ensuring a seamless client experience

5. Collaborate with the design and project management teams to ensure design feasibility and timely project delivery

6. Identify and nurture new business opportunities through networking, referrals and targeted outreach

7. Maintain detailed client records and project documentation using our CRM system

8. Provide professional guidance and recommendations on design trends, materials, colour schemes and spatial solutions

9. Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company's revenue growth objectives

10. Attend site visits and conduct measurements to inform design proposals

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Graphic Design, or a related field

2. 2-5 years of professional experience in interior design, sales design or related design roles

3. Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent tools

4. Demonstrated ability to create compelling design presentations and visual communications

5. Excellent sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and achieve targets

6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients

7. A keen eye for aesthetics, spatial planning and attention to detail

8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects simultaneously

9. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt design solutions to meet client constraints

10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software

11. Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the East Region for client meetings and site visits

12. Professional portfolio demonstrating previous design work and client projects

Preferred experience includes exposure to residential or commercial interior design projects, experience in the sales or customer-facing design environment, and familiarity with the Singapore design market.
