The Manager, Group Talent Development is responsible for leading the design and implementation of talent development, learning, and employee engagement initiatives to support business objectives and enhance organisational effectiveness. This role partners with key stakeholders to build capabilities, drive development efforts and ensure alignment with overall strategic priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Management & Development
Lead and drive the organisation’s talent management and development initiatives in alignment with business priorities
Oversee the identification and fulfilment of learning and development needs to address competency gaps through:
Conducting learning needs analysis and assessment to identify these needs.
Oversee the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of external training vendors to meet these training needs request.
Manage training administration and the effective deployment of learning solutions
Optimise training investments, including leveraging relevant government grants and funding opportunities.
Drive succession planning efforts by consolidating development needs of identified talent and monitoring their progress.
Analyse and report on learning data to support management decision-making and continuous improvement.
Oversee the delivery of onboarding and orientation programmes to ensure a consistent and effective new hire experience.
Employee Welfare & Engagement
Lead and drive employee welfare and engagement initiatives
Oversee the design, planning and executive of staff welfare programmes, including recognition initiatives and engagement activities such as townhalls and festive events, ensuring effective implementation and to enhance employee experience and organisational culture.
Employee Engagement Surveys
Lead the implementation of employment engagement surveys, collation of survey findings, management reporting and identify possible action plans for engagement.
Health & Safety (Wellness) & ESG
Lead the execution of measures related to the Health & Safety framework with focus on complying with prevailing health advisories, not limited to Covid-19.
Oversee the implementation and sustainability of employee wellness initiatives eg Employee Mental Wellness Program.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and wellness initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
Support ESG reporting and initiatives by preparation and consolidation of documents, ensuring accurate data collection, documentation, and timely submission
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource, Business, Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of talent management and development experience
Strong understanding of talent frameworks including succession planning, competency mapping and high-potential development
Experience in designing and implementing learning strategies, leadership development programmes, and capability-building initiatives
Work experience in Retail or FMCG
Good knowledge of local employment laws and regulations
Ability to demonstrate high level of tact in handling confidential information
Proficient in MS Office especially in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Experience managing employee engagement surveys (e.g. Qualtrics), analysing insights and translating findings into actionable initiatives
Strong communication and good interpersonal skills to professionally handle frequent interactions with senior management.
