Key responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and technical drawings using industry-standard software and tools.
Conduct electrical calculations, load analysis, and feasibility studies for projects
Review and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and project requirements from stakeholders
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment
Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on electrical installations and systems
Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and project managers to meet project objectives
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and cost estimates for projects
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members as required
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimisation in electrical designs
Key Requirements
Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum 3 years of practical experience in electrical engineering design and implementation
In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards relevant to the industry
Experience with power distribution systems, control systems, or industrial electrical applications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams
Willingness to undertake site visits and fieldwork as project requirements dictate
Valid driver's license is advantageous for site-based responsibilities
