About the Role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Manager to lead the mechanical design, project execution, and tendering of mission-critical diesel generator fuel systems and power infrastructure projects.

This role sits within a highly specialised engineering environment supporting data centres, hospitals, and critical infrastructure facilities, where system reliability, safety, and compliance are essential.

You will play a key role in managing end-to-end engineering delivery — from concept design and tender preparation through to construction coordination and project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Design & Engineering

• Lead the design of diesel generator fuel systems, storage tanks, transfer systems, and piping networks

• Develop system layouts, schematic drawings, and detailed installation plans

• Perform engineering calculations (pump sizing, pipe sizing, pressure loss, storage capacity, safety systems)

• Ensure compliance with Singapore standards (SS, SCDF, NEA, PUB) and project specifications

Tender & Proposal Management

• Review tender specifications and convert requirements into engineering design solutions

• Prepare technical proposals, design submissions, and tender documentation

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment selection (pumps, valves, filtration systems, leak detection)

• Evaluate technical compliance of vendor and subcontractor submissions

Project Management & Execution

• Oversee project planning, scheduling, and engineering deliverables

• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and internal engineering teams

• Attend site coordination meetings and resolve technical issues during installation

• Ensure smooth execution from design stage to project completion

Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as key technical liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities

• Lead technical discussions and design review meetings

• Ensure alignment across all project stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

• Proven experience in M&E, industrial piping, BOP systems, or mechanical infrastructure projects

• Strong exposure to diesel generator systems, fuel transfer systems, or power generation facilities

• Experience in design + project + tendering responsibilities

• Knowledge of Singapore codes and regulatory requirements (SCDF / NEA / PUB)

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex engineering interfaces

• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar engineering design tools
