Warehouse Picker / Sorting Assistant (Ambient & Frozen Warehouse) - #1133067

Job Summary

We are hiring Warehouse Pickers / Sorting Assistants to support daily warehouse and fresh food operations. The role involves sorting, packing, labelling, and assisting with warehouse housekeeping across ambient (normal temperature) and frozen (-18°C) storage environments, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfilment.

Working Arrangements

• Shift Options:

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

  • Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

• Working Hours: 12 hours per shift

• Work Pattern: 6 days work, 1 day rest

• Work Environment:

  • Ambient warehouse

  • Frozen warehouse (approximately -18°C)

• Shift allocation may vary based on operational needs

Key Responsibilities

1. Picking, Sorting & Packing

• Sort, weigh, and pack fresh produce and other warehouse items

• Perform labelling and repacking (carton handling, plastic wrap, labels)

• Assist with product classification across different warehouse categories, including dry goods and frozen items

2. Warehouse Support

• Support daily warehouse operations, including stock handling and movement

• Assist in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the warehouse and storage areas

3. Hygiene & Safety

• Follow food handling, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines

• Adhere to temperature control and handling procedures, especially in frozen storage areas

4. Task Support

• Complete ad-hoc operational tasks assigned by supervisors

• Support team operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely order completion

Job Requirements

• Comfortable working in warehouse environments, including cold storage (-18°C) if assigned

• Physically fit to handle standing work, lifting, and repetitive tasks

• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Willing to work long shifts, including night shifts if required
