Key Responsibilities 

• Lead the Shipping & Documentation Department, setting strategy, policies, and KPIs to support business growth. 

•  Oversee  execution of bulk, containerized, and tanker shipments. 

•  Drive digitalisation, system implementation, and process optimisation to enhance efficiency and transparency. 

• Manage charter party, demurrage, marine insurance, and trade finance documentation. 

•  Oversee middle office responsibilities: ensuring operational controls, accurate shipment data, risk monitoring, and compliance with contracts, Incoterms, and regulatory requirements. 

•  Align closely with commercial, finance and risk team to achieve shipping execution and commercial objectives 

•  Mentor and develop a high-performing shipping team.

What We Are Looking For 

• 12–15 years’ experience in shipping/logistics, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. 

• Proven expertise in agri-commodity shipping (bulk, breakbulk, and container trade flows). 

• Strong expertise in strategic planning, middle office controls, stakeholder management, and digital transformation. 

• Excellent knowledge of Incoterms, trade compliance, and international regulations. 

• Skilled negotiator with strong commercial and risk management acumen. 

• Inspirational leader with the ability to drive performance and change.
