Hiring Full Time / Part Timer Chinese Language Teacher with experience teaching (MUST) Singapore Pre-School / Primary levels. 

Salary $3000 to $4k per month for Chinese Tuition Centre in Hougang Central (next to Hougang MRT - North East MRT - Purple Lines)

Job Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning 

• Able to teach Primary level Chinese with passion in the classroom.

• Plan and deliver well structured Chinese language enrichment lessons according to Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) primary and secondary levels. 

• Update teaching and learning materials according to latest MOE syllabus.

• Prepare learning materials to ensure effectiveness of class management.

• Create a positive, dynamic and interactive learning environment that inspire interest and able to coach the needs of young students. 

• Utilise various teaching methods and resources to cater to individual learning style.

• Assign homework, correction, grading tests and complete other paper works according to school's requirements

Communication and Reporting

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support, to ensure learning objectives are achieved.

• Able to communicate well by addressing students and parents needs and concerns and regularly update parents on their child's learning progress.

• Provide administrative support for the centre's operations and events

• Able to work evening and weekend

Requirements & Professional Compentencies

An experienced and certified Chinese teacher capable of teaching Singapore primary and secondary levels.

• Minimum possess Diploma in Chinese Language teaching, Chinese Studies or any related field from a recognized college or university.

• 
  

• Possess previous working experiences in an education centre or MOE school are advantageous. Familiar with Singapore MOE Chinese standards and methods, able to develop teaching plans and material based on students different needs and levels. Knowledge of Chinese phonetics, vocabulary, grammar and Chinese characters

• 
  

• Candidates without experience but with relevant education level are welcome to apply too as training will be provided for suitable candidates.

• Singaporeans or Permanent Residents are preferred.

• 
  

• Able to commit teaching for both Saturday and Sunday and Public Holiday.

• Willing to learn and possess good working attitude.

• 
  

• Dedicated and passionate with children.

• 
  

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with students and parents, address their needs and concerns, and provide regular updates on students learning progress.

• Possess creative and engaging ability to make language learning fun and interactive. Excellent teaching skills in explain vividly and visually, thus create a positive, energetic and highly interactive learning environment to stimulate student's interest in leaning and meet the learning needs of lower primary students.

• Able to work independently and a team player with the desire to contribute to the overall development of our language department.

• Good organization, coordination, managing small class size and ability to inspire student passion in learning Chinese.

• 
  

• Proficiency speaking & writing Chinese (Must) & English (preferred)

• 
  

• Candidates that can start immediately or start within short notice would be preferred.

• Proficient in computer usage and MS Words including typing and basic document presentation.
