About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our Export function and support overall supply chain operations. The role requires strong hands-on experience in Japan export processes, as well as solid understanding of Halal, SFA, and Health Certificate documentation. You will oversee a team and work closely with Production, QA, Warehouse, and Management.

Key Responsibilities

Export Management (Primary Focus)

• Lead end-to-end export operations, including shipment booking, documentation, and vessel planning.

• Prepare and submit all export and regulatory documents (Japan export, Halal, SFA, Health Certificates, COA, customs filings).

• Coordinate closely with internal teams and customers to ensure accurate and timely shipments.

• Handle customer complaints, investigations, and follow-up actions.

• Optimise export-related costs such as demurrage, detention, and freight charges.

• Maintain export trackers and provide weekly operational updates to Management.

Supply Chain Support

• Work with Import, Warehouse, and Production teams to manage inbound/outbound planning.

• Support inventory visibility and operational planning activities.

• Provide analysis, costing inputs, and process improvement recommendations.

• Contribute to SOP improvements and cross-department communication.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in Supply Chain and Export within Food Manufacturing.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Japan export documentation.

• Proven leadership experience managing a team of at least five members.

• Familiar with Halal certification, SFA regulatory requirements, and Health Certificates.

• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Good-to-Have

• Experience in import coordination or warehousing operations.

• ERP system knowledge (Navision preferred).

• Experience in process improvement or cost-efficiency projects.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently.

• Proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
