Our client is a local firm in Singapore.
Location: West Region of Singapore
Responsibilities
Collaborate with project consultants and key stakeholders, including government agencies, on the design of various facilities. Ensure construction, erection, and installation are in accordance with design specifications and statutory requirements.
Participate in testing and commissioning of mechanical, process, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation equipment/systems.
Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at local and overseas factories to witness and verify quality and performance of major equipment/systems.
Lead a team of technical supervisors and specialists; coordinate maintenance work between contractors and maintenance sections to ensure safe, smooth, and efficient operations of the waste-to-energy facility.
Implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for electrical and control equipment, including turbo-generators, motors, switchgears, low- and high-tension equipment, distributed control systems, and field instruments.
Administer contracts for the operation and maintenance of mechanical, or building services equipment.
Enforce permit-to-work systems and safe work culture; supervise contractors’ work for quality and safety.
Formulate and prepare standard operating and safety procedures, equipment testing, and changeover programs.
Perform shift work in a waste-to-energy facility, if required.
Work closely with management to implement safety initiatives, continuous improvement programs, and drive projects to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering).
Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer, Steam Engineer, Licensed Electrical Worker, Workplace Safety and Health Officer) are an advantage.
Strong technical background and analytical skills; knowledge in solid waste management is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Navisworks and Primavera P6 is preferred.
Mature, independent, resourceful, and a team player.
Ability to perform shift work is advantageous.
Willingness to work at construction sites and travel overseas for FATs and training.
