LICENCE ELECTRICAL WORKER (LEW 7) - #1127270

*Note: Contractor shall ensure that all electrical works perform in Bukom to be under the responsibility, instruction & supervision of an appropriate grade LEW.

(a) Must have an appropriate grade License Electrical Worker issued by Energy Market Authority with minimum 3 years’ practicing experience. preferably in the electrical work in Petrochemical or Oil & Gas industry.

(b) Educational qualifications: Must possess minimum Higher Nitec in Electrical Engineering

(c) Responsible for managing the statutory requirements as according to the Electricity Acts (Chapter 89A), Code of practice for electrical installations (SS638), Temporary Electrical Installation (SS650, formerly CP88) and full compliance with COMPANY’s HSSE policies and that ‘Goal Zero’ is met within the Contractor’s area of responsibility.

(d) Carry out inspection and testing of installation and certify that electrical installation is safe to use or operate.

(e) Obtain the relevant information for the purpose of submitting an application for an electrical installation license.

(f) Submit the license application to EMA. Submit reports, maintenance reports, updated single-line drawings and any other relevant documents relating to Electrical Installation to EMA.

(g) Ensure quality of work and compliance to electrical statutory requirement.

(h) Responsible for the competency of electrical workers (i.e. has electrical education background, sufficient training) by ensuring Electrical Workers to be properly trained and supervised.

(i) Be responsible for maintaining a competency management system for all employees.

(j) Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English. (GCE ‘O’ level or IELTS 7 Equivalent)

(k) Must be able to work with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages. (l) Must be skilled with HS220OP Safe Use of Portable Electrical Equipment.

(m) Must be aware of Industry Standards, DEPs, Electrical Safety Rules, local legislations and Relevant International Codes.

(n) Must be skilled with Bukom Electrical Safety Rules MNT_ELEC-5002OP

(o) Must attain Competent Electrical Person (Contractor) authorization as per Bukom Electrical Safety Rules MNT_ELEC-5002OP.

(p) Must be responsible and possess the competency to ensure zero voltage verification.

(q)Shall possess the skill and knowledge of Arc Flash risk & mitigation.
