Test Engineer - PCBA and VAVE - #1123925
CEI
The Test Engineer is primary technical contact with external customers and technical responsible for developing, validating, and supporting electronic test solutions for PCBA and system-level products within Manufacturing Sites.
The role emphasizes high-reliability and harsh-environment electronics, particularly for Oil & Gas instrumentation, downhole tools, or industrial control systems.
This position requires a strong understanding of electronics testing, DFT/DFM principles, ATE systems, and failure analysis, with close collaboration with design, process, quality teams and customer to ensure robust product performance and manufacturing yield.
He is collaborating internally with the team at Manufacturing Site at Indonesia and Vietnam and willingness to travel to Manufacturing Site/customer place is required for the projects.
Key Responsibilities
· As lead for test engineering during NPI, First Article Run and mass production phases.
· Design, develop, and validate functional and in-circuit test solutions (ICT, FCT, boundary scan, JTAG, PXI/LXI).
· Develop test fixtures, software, and procedures based on product design and customer test specifications.
· Conduct test correlation between engineering and production lines.
· Implement continuous improvement to reduce test time and increase first-pass yield (FPY).
· Evaluate new testing tools and technologies to determine if they can be used to improve the quality of testing.
· Collaborate with Value Engineering to perform Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews.
· Recommend design modifications to improve test coverage and manufacturability.
· Support environmental and stress screening (ESS, HASS, HALT) tests per Oil & Gas standards (e.g API, ATEX).
· Ensure customer-specific test requirements and compliance with industry.
· Perform root cause analysis for test failures using diagnostic tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, boundary scan, etc.).
· Work closely with Quality and Process Engineering to implement corrective and preventive actions.
· Prepare test reports, procedures, and documentation in line with ISO/AS9100 standards.
