About the Role
A leading university is seeking an analytical and resourceful Assistant Manager to support faculty recruitment planning, HR data analytics, and academic lifecycle administration. This role is ideal for individuals with strong data management and reporting skills who enjoy contributing to process improvement and strategic workforce planning within the education sector.
Key Responsibilities
Faculty Recruitment & Workforce Planning
Support faculty recruitment planning and forecasting by maintaining and analyzing historical data on hires, vacancies, and turnover trends
Assist management in identifying workforce needs using data-driven insights and planning tools
Track ongoing faculty search processes, including candidate pipelines, interviews, and offer approvals
Analyze applicant pools to assess diversity, qualifications, and competitiveness
Build and maintain recruitment dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Excel
Identify gaps and propose process improvements to enhance recruitment effectiveness and equity
Academic Lifecycle & HR Data Analytics
Analyze faculty data to support strategic planning for recruitment, onboarding, reappointments, tenure, and promotions
Develop data visualizations and dashboards for management reporting
Maintain accurate records of faculty appointments, credentials, and professional activities
Track and report on faculty development programs, research outputs, and awards
Generate regular and ad hoc faculty data reports on demographics, teaching loads, and diversity metrics
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Data Analytics, or a related field
Experience in HR operations, academic administration, or data reporting preferred
Strong analytical and communication skills, with attention to accuracy and detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, charts) and comfortable handling large datasets
Familiarity with faculty information systems (e.g., Interfolio, Workday) is an advantage
Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for data visualization and reporting
Understanding of higher education or research environments preferred
