Our client is seeking an Assistant Heat Exchanger Thermal & Mechanical Design Manager to join their team!

What you'll be doing?
Lead and mentor: Guide a team of thermal and mechanical design engineers, fostering their growth and development.
Manage projects: Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
Collaborate across teams: Work closely with project management, procurement, QA/QC, and fabrication teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive technical excellence: Conduct reviews, lead design optimization discussions, and ensure compliance with client specifications and regulations.
Client communication: Serve as the primary technical contact for clients during design reviews and technical clarifications.
Innovate and improve: Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives in design processes, tools, and engineering practices.
Support business growth: Assist proposal and estimation teams with technical inputs during bid stages.
Project oversight: Track engineering deliverables and report project status to senior management.
Ensure quality outcomes: Guarantee that designs meet safety, performance, and cost objectives.
Who are they looking for?
Engineering background: Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant experience: Bring 5+ years of experience in thermal & mechanical design of heat exchangers & pressure vessels, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Software proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in thermal design software (e.g., HTRI, Aspen EDR) and pressure vessel design software (e.g., PVELite, Autopipe-Vessel).
Technical knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and pressure vessel design codes.
Industry standards: Familiarity with international design codes and standards such as TEMA, ASME VIII, and API 660.
Leadership skills: Exhibit strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
Attention to detail: Show a keen eye for detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
