We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven culinary professional to lead food quality and process assurance across our production operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in both culinary arts and food manufacturing. This role requires a hands-on leader who can bridge R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure every product meets the highest standards of taste, texture, safety, and consistency.

Job Responsibilities

1. Food Quality & Safety

  • Conduct quality assurance checks on all ingredients, dishes, and production processes.

  • Monitor compliance with company standards, including taste profiles and textures, in accordance with R&D SOPs.

  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety management systems and hygiene standards.

  • Oversee production lines to identify issues and ensure products consistently meet quality standards.

2. Process & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and assist with internal and external food safety audits.

  • Investigate any food safety incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

3. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with the R&D team on all SKU trials and production runs.

  • Communicate quality standards, findings, and improvement measures to factory staff and management.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to enhance overall product quality, consistency, and operational efficiency.


Job Requirements

  • Culinary Degree / Diploma or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in culinary arts and food manufacturing.

  • Minimum 2 years of R&D Chef experience working with Food Scientists or Technologists in product development preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP and other food safety regulations is essential.

  • Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, equipment, and production technologies.

  • Experienced in new product implementation, R&D trials, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Skilled in establishing, maintaining, and updating SOPs to ensure compliance with operational controls and policies.

  • Proven success in product innovation and commercialization, with hands-on experience transitioning concepts from lab-scale to full-scale production.

  • Able to conceptualize innovative food products aligned with industry and consumer trends.

  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Based in Tuas and willing to work early mornings, nights, or weekends when required.
