Job Description
Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts (e.g. vendor, client, procurement, service, confidentiality, NDAs and partnership agreements).
Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, internal policies, and corporate governance standards.
Advise business units on contractual rights, obligations, and risk exposure.
Liaise with external lawyers to support internal departments on complex or high-risk agreements..
Liaise with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Finance, Human Resource, Operations, Other Compliance) to align contract terms with business objectives.
Review existing Contracts, Policies, Vendor Agreements and implement new ones as necessary.
Manage contract lifecycle including creation, execution, renewal, and termination of existing contracts.
Maintain a central contract repository and track key milestones, deliverables, and expiry dates.
Develop and implement standard templates, playbooks, and contracting processes to improve efficiency.
Support tender and bid documentation reviews to ensure legal compliance.
Conduct training sessions for business teams on contract policies and legal best practices.
Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
Assist with dispute resolution, contract audits, and compliance reporting as needed.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or other related legal qualifications preferred.
3 years of experience in contract management, commercial law, or corporate legal roles preferred.
Strong understanding of Singapore contract law and Regional commercial practices.
Experience with contract management systems and corporate governance tools.
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge in the Crane, Supply Chain and Logistics industry is an advantage.
