Assistant Sales Manager @ North
(Medical Consumables & Disposables)
Up to $6,000 Basic + $800 Transport Allowance (with own car) + Variable Bonus
About the Role:
We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Sales Manager to lead, coach, and grow a team of dedicated sales professionals in the medical consumables and disposables sector. You'll work closely with the Sales Manager to drive revenue, expand market share, and develop new business opportunities with clinics, nursing homes, and retail partners.
This is a key leadership role blending sales execution, team development, product line management, and strategic planning. Ideal for someone who thrives in a hybrid hunter/farmer role and is ready to make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead and mentor a sales team to meet and exceed targets
Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and training
Manage the team’s product mix and profitability
Take ownership of the sales team’s P&L and performance metrics
Identify and explore untapped markets and customer segments
Build and nurture relationships with new clients
Support in creating and executing strategies to increase market share in clinics, nursing homes, and retail
Monitor market trends and competitor activities
Maintain strong relationships with key clients
Handle complex client needs and ensure service excellence (when required)
Track sales data, prepare reports, and analyze team performance
Use insights to drive improvements and adjust strategies
Contribute to accurate sales forecasting and budget planning
Stay current on product features, benefits, and industry applications to support the sales team and client engagements
What We’re Looking For:
3 years' experience in sales within the medical device, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry
Leadership or team supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of P&L, product line management, and market dynamics
Proven track record in new business development and account growth
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and lead by example
Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
Additional Information:
Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:30pm (5-day work week)
Role Split: 50% Hunter / 50% Farmer
Transport Allowance: $800 (only with own vehicle)
