General Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily food preparation, storage, cleaning, and overall hygiene maintenance.
Operate various types of machines to support food production, cooking, baking, and packaging processes
Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and food safety guidelines.
Role Responsibilities:
Baking /Cooking
Operate dough dividers, mixers, and proofers, grinders.
Bake products using various types of ovens.
Perform various cooking techniques as per standard recipes.
Food Preparation
Wash, cut, and prepare raw ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and other materials.
Cook large-batch dishes including rice, noodles, soups, drinks, and meat-based fillings.
Mix and prepare dough for various bread, pastries, and cake types, including traditional and specialty products.
Prepare fillings for cakes and pastries (e.g., mousse, ganache, bean paste).
Food Production
Manually shape and assemble food items, including buns, traditional pastries, and sandwiches.
Fill pastries and cakes with pre-prepared fillings.
Decorate cakes with cream, mousse, toppings, and piping techniques.
Packaging & Labelling
Weigh, portion, and pack various products either manually or by using machines.
Label products accurately with expiry dates and other required information.
Use sealing machines for airtight packaging.
Perform hand-packing and manual labelling for traditional or delicate items.
Store packaged goods in cold storage (chiller/freezer) as required.
Other Responsibilities
Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning tables, and washing crockery and utensils
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor or lead
Requirements:
• Long hours of standing
• Carry heavy loads up to 25kg
• Preferably with minimum 1 year baker or related experience
• 6 days per week, 8 hours per day (excluding 1-hour break)
• Shift work (no fixed rest days, no fixed break times)
