Freelance Airline Technical Representative (Engineer)

Requirements

Candidates are required to; 

• Have At least 10 years Aircraft Engineering experience (licensed).
  

• Be fluent in both written and spoken English, as the position requires the use of English as the common language medium.
  

• Have sufficient skills in word processing and file management due to document-handling related tasks.
  

• Be self-motivated, well-organized, and punctual as this position requires prudent time management.
  

• Have good technical problem solving, troubleshooting, and excellent negotiating skills.
  

• Have either past or current valid aircraft maintenance license(s).
  

• Previous company approvals and/or references.
  

• Previous Boeing B-737 Series experience would be an advantage.

Roles

• Provide consultation services to a client Airline, by acting as the Airline’s Technical Representative while their aircraft is under maintenance at an AMO/MRO.
  

• Act as a liaison between the AMO/MRO and the client Airline, to ensure that services conducted are meeting regulatory compliance and standards.
  

• Ensure that all contractual obligations are met by the AMO/MRO.
  

• Ensure that the AMO/MRO issues accurate documentation, quality workmanship, and that a comprehensive Safety System is upheld.
  

• Ensure that key Airline staff are made aware if the client is not meeting their obligations regarding documentation or other resources.
  

• Review and negotiate any additional billable man-hours beyond the scope of the contractual agreement, on behalf of the client Airline.
  

• Evaluate and approve materials for repairs and/or findings when required.
  

• Raise necessary requests and approvals through the Airline’s documented maintenance systems.
  

• Handle confidential information professionally, and provide technical advice when given data or information pertaining to the aircraft at the Heavy Maintenance Check.
  

• Any other duties requested by the Airline regarding the completion of the Heavy Maintenance Check.
  

• Comfortable with nose-to-tail Heavy Maintenance checks.

Applicable Candidates:

• Singaporeans (or those who have right to work on a long-term basis within Singapore), as this position is currently only available in Singapore.
   

• Retirees are welcome to apply.

Rate:

• Salary based on a daily rate (averaging 21 days per month).

• Daily Rate subject to experience and is negotiable. 

• Paid monthly.
